For those of you who want to know more....check out the full interview with the lads at
The Definitive History of Blues and Western Folk
Adelaide locals don’t really need an introduction to Snooks La Vie and Nick Kipridis. Both have fronted some of our city’s solid roots acts from the Streamliners to The Hiptones but together they have quietly honed their country, blues and folk duo repertoire in the front bars of Adelaide over the past couple of years including a smokin’ version of Big Joe Williams’ ‘Brother James’ which was included on ‘These Are My Blues: A Tribute To Big Joe Williams’….
Stobie Sounds has handprinted a limited edition run of posters for the show and we’ve got a few for sale on the site (and at the shows of course).
Two colour print on grainy paper in the ‘Hatch Show Print’ tradition. The ‘guitar’ background is a block print and the text is printed using a silk screen.
Thanks to Steve at Salvi’s Fine Guitars for carving the ‘guitar silhouette’ block print in his workshop – he’s a man of many talents.
Limited Edition posters $10ea... All proceeds go toward supporting local roots music.

We caught up with the fellas and asked them to spill the beans about their upcoming show for the Fringe Cabaret.
Stobie Sounds: In one sentence, tell us what the punters should expect from The Definitive History of Blues and Western Folk.
Nikko & Snooks: A concise (VERY brief!) musical journey through some of the key figures and songs in American blues & folk. We’ll be mixing tunes from old and more modern artists like Dylan, Rob Johnson, Townes Van Zandt, Leadbelly, Blind Lemon Jefferson, John Prine, Hank Williams,Skip James, Willie Dixon as well as songs whose authorship has long been forgotten!
